PfAMA1 in the P. pastoris system

Assessment of the Safety and Immunogenicity of three Formulations of the Recombinant Pichia pastoris Apical Membrane Antigen 1 (PfAMA-1-FVO[25-545]), Blood-stage malaria Vaccine in Healthy Dutch Adult Volunteers: a Phase 1, Single-Blind, Randomised, Dose-escalating, Unicentre trial.

The trial commenced 29 November 2005 and vaccination of the volunteers was completed on 13 February 2006, and the data base was locked on 23 October 2007. The clinical study report is expected in the coming months.
A staggered clinical Phase Ib trial, sponsored by AMANET is currently being conducted at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Bamako, Mali (see relevant file).
