GMZ2 (PfGLURP + PfMSP3) in the L. Lactis system Phase Ib in adults Gabon

Randomised controlled trial to evaluate the Safety and Immunogenicity of recombinant lactococus lactis hybrid GMZ2 [GLURP + MSP 3] blood stage malaria vaccine versus rabies vaccine in healthy Gabonese adult Volunteers

The staggered clinical Phase Ib trial, under the auspices of AMANET commenced at Albert Schweitzer Hospital, Lambarene, Gabon in August 2007. 

No Serious Adverse Events related to the vaccine were reported. The Interim Analysis will be performed in the coming months to allow the development of GMZ2 to move forward.
