GMZ1 (PfGLURP) in the L. lactis system

The further clinical development of GLURP as LSP has ceased. Based on results of the Phase Ia clinical trial of GLURP as LSP, it was decided to pursue GLURP as a recombinant L. lactis protein called GMZ1. At the SAC Portfolio Review Meeting in Copenhagen in October 2006, SAC recommended that the development of GMZ1 be put on hold while the results of the GMZ2 safety and preliminary immunogenicity are generated, and that no further funding should be made available for GMP lots of GMZ1 at present.
