Product Development
A process development programme has been initiated at the Fraunhofer Institute in Aachen (IME) prior to the transfer to GMP production. The production process to generate the three DiCo versions of the AMA1 protein has been developed to allow sufficient yield in a stable format of the three proteins to be obtained. In 2010 the production process will be scale-up and applied in GMP conditions to generate a toxicology and clinical batch. Availability of preclinical and clinical batches of the product is expected in mid and end 2010 respectively.
