EMVI has become a European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG). The EVI-EEIG is founded by Heidelberg University and Stockholm University. New Statues were signed on 31st August 2009 by the founding universities.

Following this, it has been decided by the EMVI Board that the seat of the EEIG will be:

The founding meeting of the EEIG has been held, and we are happy to announce that the current EMVI Executive Director, Dr. Odile Leroy, has been appointed Executive Director of the EVI-EEIG.
